HTS-110
www.hts-110.comHTS-110 has been at the forefront of global innovation in applied high temperature superconducting products. Since forming in 2004, with the aim of commercialising almost two decades of pioneering HTS R&D they have accumulated extensive experience in providing innovative magnetic solutions including x-ray and neutron beamline sample environments, high-throughput magnets for materials analysis, compact magnets for magneto-optical studies and high uniformity magnets for magnetic resonance and beamline instrumentation. In addition, a large range of custom magnetic solutions have been provided for specific applications ranging from energy storage to mine-sweeping. They remain the only company in the world specialising in HTS magnet systems and components. High-Temperature Superconductors are a class of ceramics that conduct DC electricity with zero resistance when cooled to cryogenic temperatures (20-77 kelvin). They are identified as “high” to distinguish them from low-temperature superconductors (LTS), which need to be cooled to almost absolute zero (~4 K) before they exhibit superconducting behaviour. Commercial and Academic Applications: - Neutron Scattering. A range of superconducting magnet systems are available and used worldwide in neutron research facilities. - NMR/MRI. Superior performance for cryogen-free high-resolution NMR spectroscopy in the 200MHz-800MHz range. - SuperCurrent. Automated measurement of superconductor critical current as a function of magnetic field, angle, and temperature. - X-Ray. High resolution diffraction, non-resonant magnetic scattering, resonant magnetic scattering, X-ray Magnetic Circular Dichroism (XMCD) spectroscopy and X-ray absorption spectroscopy and imaging. - Custom Magnets. Design and manufacture drawing on our deep experience with HTS solutions to meet real-world demands. Incorporating HTS technology means smaller, easier to maintain and lower total lifetime cost devices in comparison to competing technologies.
