Back in 1979 Farzand Begum, mother of the Mumtaz Family, opened a tiny shop just four square meters on Great Horton road in Bradford. This tiny shop quickly became famous for its authentic Kashmiri Cuisine. Little did she know, that from these humble beginings was to grow a multi-national food operation that spans the globe, with prestigious restaurants in Bradford and Leeds. All of this has achieved by keeping faithful to our Mother's original recipes and continuing to use the finest ingredients in all of our produce. Farzand Begum would have been proud to know that the seeds she planted all those years ago have grown to not only produce quality food but to also help others less fortunate then ourselves through the many charities we support worldwide.
