The original sauce recipe was discovered hand written in Lal's Grandmothers cookbook. Since then the flavorful relish has been passed down through two generations starting in Southern Africa and now ending in the US. When shared with friends and family it has always been enjoyed and often suggested that we commercialize the sauce to allow others to enjoy its incredible flavor. In the second quarter of 2018 we decided to do just that and started the process of producing the sauce for the market. Lal's sweet chili sauce is locally produced in Kansas City Missouri at our production facility before it is shelved in markets to purchase. The ingredients are all natural, gluten free and only of the highest quality. Chef Kamal has taken the original recipe and developed three additional flavors allowing for this sweet chili sauce to be enjoyed with many more dishes, adding complexity each time it is used. The final product is Lal’s Sweet Chili Sauce in four different flavors, Original, Chipotle, Raspberry and Horseradish. These sauces can be enjoyed with a variety of different foods adding a unique sweet yet mild spicy flavor. We hope Lal's sweet chili sauce will become a mainstay on your table as it is on ours.
