The Bangladesh University of Textiles or BUTEX, informally known as Textile Engineering University, is the first-ever and only public university in Bangladesh specialising in Textile Engineering.[2][3] It is one of the nine PhD granting research universities of Bangladesh. BUTEX is the only public university in Bangladesh that specialises in Textile Engineering. It meets the need for advanced textile engineering and technology education in Bangladesh and the world .Students of BUTEX are known as "BUTEXian". There is a strong bonding among every BUTEXian.
