M.E.S (Mysore Education Society) College was started in 1956-57 as an intermediate college by five enlight­ened citizens Sri GAAcharya, Sri M Chinnaswamy, Prof M.P.L Sastry, Prof B.R. Subba Rao and Smt Vimala Rangachar. It is now a full fledged Degree college, P.G. Centre the mathematics and research center in applied mathematics. As a premier institution it has been imparting quality education for the past five decades. The college is a four floor stone structure with an annex to accommo­date the growing strength of students. Anybody who enters this college will feel and experience the silken touch of care, compassion and concern which embody the philosophy of learning pursued here. Consequent­ly character, confidence and credibility evolve. The college has grown over the years keeping pace with the global changes yet preserving Indian tradi­tion and culture. The college starts its daily routine with a prayer followed by announcements,cover­ing instructions, felicitations and congratulations to achievers in all fields. Highly qualified, experienced and dedicated teachers motivate the students and contribute to their overall development. The teachers are mentors as well.
