The Terrace Bay Mill became the third Canadian mill to join the Aditya Birla Group’s pulp and fibre business (Grasim Industries Ltd.) in July 2012. On October 10th 2012, the Terrace Bay Mill successfully restarted production as a NBSK mill. The pulp industry has a long history in the town of Terrace Bay; the original pulp mill was built in 1947. After a period of instability, the Terrace Bay Mill became the third Canadian company to join the Aditya Birla Group’s pulp and fiber business (Grasim Industries Ltd.) in July 2012.
