The Future Leaders Group Ltd
www.futureleaders.groupThe Future Leaders Group Programme is a part-time course with 10 modules and is taught by leading practitioners. In the first 2 modules we start by exploring how to design and set a strategic course. The last modules are delivered in the setting of the Sandhurst Academy, which is always enjoyed by all participants. We focus on leadership and the course is designed to help participants realise their potential to become C-suite Directors or heads of department in large organisations. We believe that future leaders benefit from a coaching/training that enlarges their horizon. A lot of effort is deployed in ensuring that the cohorts work well together and meet previous (and future) participants. We focus on diversity and inclusion and ensure the cohorts are mixed in all sorts of constructive ways, so that debate and interaction ensure maximum peer-learning. The support from Strategy International (D-Group and BEI) means that participants can attend events and high-profile gatherings, a valuable opportunity to learn, network and hone relationship skills. This works very well during the programme and helps in developing senior leadership skills in practical ways. The third aspect which makes the programme stand apart is the coaching support provided throughout. This “golden thread” is Strengths-Based Coaching. We have chosen a leadership development approach based on strengths. In practice it means building on people’s talents and for leaders it means putting their strengths at the service of their followers. We believe that this strengths-based mindset is fundamental to creating the behaviours of authentic and highly effective leaders. Throughout the programme, participants work with their coach, the faculty members and each other to appreciate their strengths, unique contribution, needs and blind spots (self-awareness). This creates psychological safety and complementary partnerships. Participants are encouraged to put their strengths at the service of others.
