It started with schools. With the staggering rise in active shooter situations in the USA… our founder Anna, a Mom (and step mom) of seven, wanted to do something. She wanted a failproof system to guarantee her children could lock the door and keep an intruder out of their classrooms. So Anna and her husband John pulled a team of inventors and consultants together. We needed something so easy, a kindergartener could use it. Something uncomplicated, so people could remember it when their hearts were racing. Something obvious. Something easy. A solution… when seconds count. So we made the simplest, securest device on the planet: Flip Lok. And then we took it beyond the classroom. Safety isn’t just about schools, but about the people whose lives they touch. For individuals who live alone and people in crowded spaces. It took 88 prototypes, 288 international meetings and a team in 4 countries to create the product we have today.
