Girls On Fire Leaders believes that girls are the key to solving the world's greatest challenges of education, health and gender violence, ultimately combating extreme poverty and gender inequality. Our mission is to mentor, elevate and inspire vulnerable girls to become innovative agents of change by solving challenges in their own communities, and positioning them as vital stakeholders that will catalyze change. From the slums to remote rural areas, we run leadership camps and supplemental programs that unite girls across East Africa and uses a high-value, holistic approach to build a girl's resilience, leadership skills and even the ecosystem around her to help her make a safe, healthy and productive transition from adolescence to young adulthood. Girls On Fire Leaders currently operates in Kenya and Tanzania with offices in Nairobi and US headquarters in New York City.
