Future Ancestors Services Inc. is a Black and Indigenous-owned social enterprise that provides speaking, training, research, and community services that advance climate justice and equity with the lens of ancestral accountability. They build bridges between cultures, ways of knowing, and professional sectors with the goal of addressing the causes of systemic issues that disadvantage groups of people, connection to the land, and the well-being of Earth. Their services and supports seek to serve people who face disproportionate barriers in all walks of life by uplifting their visions, voices, and contract services; and by building the capacity of non-profit, private, and public organizations to engage with diverse people in meaningful and appropriate ways. Future Ancestors Services advances their mandate through three pathways of work. Through a small team of Canada's emerging leaders, they provide speaking, training, research, and community services. Their clients operate in a wide range of sectors, and seek to bring a perspective that brings ancestral accountability, equity, and climate justice to their work, workspaces, and audiences. The Future Ancestors Constellation is a portal that features Indigenous, Black, racialized, LGBTQ2S+, and disabled people for hire and who are based in Canada. They are independent and provide speaking, training, research, and/or art services that centre climate justice and equity. The Future Ancestors Collective hosts a growing database of video, art, and written content that explores teachings and visions of future ancestry and ancestral accountability. Their goal is to create a space where individuals can come to create their own understanding of future ancestry.
