Arkhon is a supply chain planning and optimization tool. It contains modules that enable the user to manage material, production, demand planning and production scheduling processes in a fast, reliable, and systematic manner. Its outstanding values compared to alternatives are ease of setup and use, and that it is coded by using the latest technologies and perhaps the most importantly, by the mathematicians who know well the dynamics of the industry. Database Arkhon uses SQL Server for access to the company’s critical data, based on certain rules. These data, if preferred, can also be integrated with the ERP. On the other hand, since the user is given (limited and) controlled privileges, data corruption and unintentional modification are prevented. Database, if desired, can be placed on the customer’s network or in a certain location on the cloud. Thus, the process is positioned within the security framework demanded by the company. User Interface Arkhon was written on the calculation tabling programs called spreadsheets, considering the programs mostly used by people managing the planning processes, in today’s business environment. Spreadsheets with many alternatives produced, especially Excel, can actually be considered as a programming language on their own. Formulas, conditional formats, filters and many other features entered by the user in these spreadsheet programs can also be used with Arkhon. This way, the user evaluates the comprehensive results presented by Arkhon’s sophisticated calculation methods. Also, the user is able to keep his/her working method, without any change. Another advantage of the program is that after the calculations are completed, it can be saved as any other spreadsheet program. Additionally, the program can be shared with other people that do not have Arkhon license, and the results can be evaluated together.
