Brendyn ‘Rusti’ Rossouw Rusti is a Cape Town based Producer/ Recording engineer, who owns and operates Heritage Sound on Buitengracht street. The studio is the culmination of Rusti’s lifelong passions combined. While living in the USA, and once he got back to South Africa Rusti toured and performed with high profile band Tree63 and wrote and recorded more of his own material. Upon his return, he established Heritage Sound, a studio housed in one of Cape Town’s oldest buildings. The live room has high ceilings with chandeliers and the drum kit rests on a 240 year old yellow wood floor. The Studio is also stocked with some great outboard gear and microphones. With this environment at his disposal, Rusti gets one of the best raw drum sounds South Africa has to offer! Rusti plays drums and sings in his band, The Rescu, a 3 piece alternative rock band from Cape Town. He also travels back to Nashville once a year to keep up to date with the international trends of the recording industry. Heritage Sound has already experienced a host of established SA bands and emerging artists choosing Rusti to record their projects. His relational approach and unique people skills allows him to coax the best out of any artist.
