Kern began in 2005 as a Singapore based management consulting and brand advisory firm. The company has expanded its operations to include Kern Identity 2.0 (a personal branding service) and Kern Care (sales and distribution of security and healthcare devices) and currently has offices in Singapore, Chennai (India) and Ann Arbor (USA). The name Kern comes from the word ‘kernel’: the inner, most material and central part of a seed. It is the thing from which everything else grows.
