It's estimated that there are over 5000 homeless Veterans in Canada. The majority of these homeless Veterans are unemployed and many are trying to deal with mental and physical injuries related to their years of service. The transition from their military career back to civilian life can be difficult and complex; affecting all facets of their life. Homes For Heroes Foundation is a registered charity that builds and directs tiny home communities across Canada to support our Veterans in their transition back to civilian life. These communities not only provide an affordable living arrangement but also a community of peers, wrap around social supports, and a sense of place and belonging for our Canadian military Veterans experiencing homelessness. Our foundation's mandate is to provide these Canadian heroes with affordable housing and the framework needed to ensure a successful transition back into civilian life.
