The mission of the Community Foundation is to inspire philanthropy and be a catalyst for strengthening communities throughout Monterey County. We partner with individuals, families and businesses to create charitable funds to help them realize their philanthropic vision. We have granted more than $137 million to hundreds of nonprofits in the areas of arts and culture, community and social services, health, education, animal welfare, environment, and historic preservation. Through the Center for Nonprofit Excellence we offer leadership development training, workshops and other resources to strengthen local nonprofits and grassroots groups.
