McDonald Public Safety Consulting, LLC is operated by Dr. Bill McDonald who is an experienced public safety professional and educator with over 2 decades of experience, primarily in EMS and Emergency Management, with a proven track record of performance improvement and increased productivity. Dr. McDonald is a subject mater expert in the field of EMS, Emergency Management, and Life Safety Planning. Some of Dr. McDonald's other specific areas of expertise include public policy, policy analysis, hazard analysis, safety, healthcare operations, and interagency cooperation. In addition to his most recent role at Empire State College, Dr. McDonald is a New York State Department of Health EMS Certified Instructor Coordinator for the Staten Island Emergency Medical Training Center. Dr.McDonald is also an experienced instructor for the AHA in the areas of BLS, ACLS, ACLSEP, and PALS. Dr. McDonald is a member of the Pi Alpha Alpha National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration, the International Association of Emergency Managers, National Association of EMT’s, and the National Association of EMS Educators. Dr. McDonald is a nationally certified paramedic, Nationally Certified EMS Educator, and is a certified paramedic in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Dr. McDonald is a graduate of the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government's Executive Leadership Program on Crisis Leadership in Higher Education.
