Meagan Bebenek Foundation (operating as Meagan's Hug) is a registered Canadian charity (# 774077473 RR 0001) dedicated to funding paediatric brain tumour research. Brain tumours are the leading cause of cancer related deaths in children and young people. In Canada research into childhood cancers is consistently underfunded. Only 5% of all funds spent on cancer research is directed to childhood cancers leaving a lot of need and opportunity for organizations like Meagan's Hug to help fill the gap. Meagan's HUG is recognized for its significant and ongoing support of the Brain Tumour Research Centre, the only facility in Canada with a program dedicated to paediatric brain tumour research.
