The American Football Club (AFC) Zurich Renegades has been founded 1983 and is the oldest operational Swiss American Football Club. Since 1990 the Renegades are playing in the highest Swiss American Football league NLA. With 7 Senior and 8 Junior Swiss championships the AFC Zurich Renegades is the most successful club in Switzerland. The Renegades focus on local players and has a strong youth development program with 2 youth teams (under-19 and under-16). A further youth team "under-13" in tackle football is planned.
