Mary Cariola Children’s Center is a special place in Rochester, New York that provides the highest quality services for children with developmental delays and multiple, complex disabilities. Public and private schools are not able to accommodate these children. The Center supports nearly 450 children and young adults ranging from birth to 21, from 10 countries and over 40 school districts. It was founded in 1949 by Mrs. Mary A. Cariola along with parents and friends of children with significant disabilities. Over the years, Mary Cariola Children's Center has evolved from a day care to a nationally renowned agency that strategically maps out a customized plan—clinically and educationally—for every child who walks through its doors. It offers day programs, residential programs, specialized therapy and much more. Children thrive in the Center's positive, upbeat environment.
