The Mad Maggies are musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area, California and Montreal, Quebec and who play roots-driven, world rock, rowdy folk ska fusion with a dash of hot pepper and a swig of slivovitz -- they kick up some dust. Composer/singer/accordionist, Maggie Martin formed the ensemble in 2004. Ever since they have been careening across the musical map whipping up dance-inducing tunes in a startling array of styles -- celtic, ska, polka, klezmer, cajun/zydeco, surf, cabaret and more. The Mad Maggies' music is upbeat enough to keep an all-ages crowd happy, intense and energetic enough to rock a nightclub.
