Sqoop is a platform that journalists use to gather news by unlocking tips from public data sources like the SEC and the patent office, saving reporters time and helping them break news. As a result, Sqoop is growing its base of registered reporters more than 50% month over month, and 80% of our reporters use Sqoop every week. We launched the site in March 2015, and as of February 2016, one in three business reporters in the U.S. use Sqoop.
