Through high quality research, advocacy, education, and technical assistance, the International Centre addresses the need for cutting-edge solutions to these problems. Since its inception, ICMEC has trained over 16,000 law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and specialists around the world on how to handle child protection cases; helped 19 countries develop Rapid Emergency Child Alert Systems similar to AMBER Alert in the U.S; created a Global Missing Children's center comprised of 30 member countries on 5 continents; created a Global Health Coalition of 33 members, including 4 of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world; and, since our Child Sexual Abuse Material: Model Legislation & Global Review was released in 2006, 150 countries have refined or implemented new anti-CSAM laws.
