The Public Enterprise Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia - Skopje was established with the Law on Publishing of Laws and Other Regulations and Acts in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia ("Official Gazette No. 56/99 on August 31, 1999), as a legal adherent of the News-Publishing Labor Organization the Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia. The main activity of the Public Enterprise Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia is publishing of laws, other regulations and acts in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as issuing of official newspaper "The Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia," as an activity of public interest. The publishing of the laws, other regulations and acts is conducted in written and electronic form. Besides performing duties to public interest, public enterprise also performs and issues index of regulations of the Republic of Macedonia, organises a unique network system of overall information on laws, sub-laws and other regulations and acts which are still in effect in the legal system of the Republic of Macedonia for the needs of the state organs and other users, as well as publishing activity (books, collection of regulations, magazines and other editions) if these publishing does not prevent the issuing of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia.
