In the early 90’s, Pearl Yacht Line recognized the need for a new form of yachting, one that combined the comfort and independence of a luxury hotel with the mobility of a cruise ship, but using smaller units; a fleet of 23 cruising yacht-vessels of 30 meters and larger, for a total of 84.6 million Euros, were successfully exploited, rented by the cabin and navigated predefined routes. At the end of their commercial exploitation, these “vessels” were refitted as private yachts and, to this day, they continue to navigate to the full satisfaction of their private owners. This historic success gave the promoters the opportunity to re-create and promote the concept, modernizing it based on past experience. Le Yacht Cruises, subject of this presentation, is the new cruise ship Company based in the Principality of Monaco.
