GiftdMinds™ is a cross between an EdTech startup and a Marketplace that is building an ecosystem for practical, hands-on learning and experimentation, both in STEM based applied sciences (Space Sciences, Radio & Satellite Communications, Mobility) as well as hands-on, real-world Life skills focussing on Sustainable living. It all started with a simple thought. When the world around us is getting more and more digital, virtual and online to an extent that it has become mentally, physically and emotionally unhealthy; where social media followers and blue ticks have become a bigger reason for depression at the age of 15, than not having meaningful, in-person conversations and real friends in life; where we can top the leaderboard of a Farmville game but never tried growing real tomatoes. A world where Roblox and Discord are the hang-out places where our kids spend most of their time today but may never get a chance to feel that skip of a heart-beat looking at the rings of Saturn up in the sky or get that adrenalin rush to build and launch an amateur rocket of their own challenging the Kármán line. The Question is, in this present and a grimmer, fast approaching future : Can we still give our kids a shot with real world science and hands-on life skills, be it as a future career option or a foundation mindset that expands their horizon for possibilities? GiftdMinds™ is our vision to not only provide the required tools, training, safe testing environment and necessary govt. approvals but also a source of inspiration to our kids and young adults so that they can become the rocket scientists, vertical and aquaponics farmers, radio astronomers and composting & soil experts of tomorrow. Finders who will use science to explore and build the technologies of tomorrow; Keepers who will save and revive a planet that their predecessors are so desperately trying to suffocate and kill.
