There is a sign in front of our church that says, “First Baptist Church”...FBC. That pattern of “creative” church naming shows up in many communities. It means that we are a church. It means we were the first Baptist church established in our city. It means we are a Baptist expression of church. That’s helpful but it doesn’t really tell you a whole lot about us. Here’s an easier way to think about FBC that better communicates who we are as a church: F - FAITH (in Jesus) - HOPE found in relationship to God through Jesus Christ. B - BELONG (in community) - LOVE found in sharing life together in a grace-filled, Christ-centered community. C - COMMISSIONED (for God's mission) - PURPOSE found in making disciples. The NAME of our church is First Baptist Church Allen, Texas. The IDENTITY of our church family is found in these three core biblical beliefs: Faith - Belong - Commissioned. At FBC ALLEN, we believe a Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will Grow A Great Christian and a Great Church!
