Fundamental to this relationship is the initial pairing of mentor and mentee, the on-going support to the relationship and the building of a collegiate partnership. As a result, mentees gain the knowledge and skills required to achieve their goals. Mentors use their extensive experience to inspire and encourage. Both gains from an authentic relationship supported throughout by the Mentoring Advantage Program. The Program places equal importance on the mentor, the mentee and the relationship. When mentoring is thoughtfully managed, it leads to career success for the mentee and satisfaction for the mentor. For the mentee, the Program helps to shape their aspirations, achieve their goals and reach their potential. For the mentor, the Program enriches their experience, refreshes their knowledge and broadens their network. The Program sets the foundation for a genuine understanding and trust to develop between mentor and mentee. For a start, mentees choose their mentors. Then, the relationship is strongly supported throughout the program by professionals who fully understand mentoring. Finally, all participants contribute to a review and evaluation of the Program.
