Still Waters Recovery

www.stillwatersonline.org

Still Waters is not a traditional treatment program, we are a 12-step immersion program. Our approach to recovery is based on the concept of Fellowship and the Spiritual Principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. In 2009 Cumberland Heights opened a new retreat in Lobelville, Tennessee, an hour west of Nashville. Still Waters is a 30, 60 or 90-day, 12-Step immersion retreat for men, with an emphasis on spirituality experienced when working the steps of Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous (AA/NA). Male residents live together in group fellowship along with counseling staff. In this way, fellowship develops into a true community whose members strive to help and encourage one another with recovery. The Still Waters facility is a converted private residence nestled in the rolling hills of Perry County near the Buffalo River, amidst large tracts of rural forest and pasture lands. Within this 35-acre retreat, a main house provides dining services, meeting rooms, offices and housing for counseling staff. A four-room guesthouse near the heated pool and pool house can accommodate eight residents, who occupy semi-private rooms with private baths. Close by and down the drive is the cottage, which has capacity for six residents in semi-private accommodations with private baths, plus a living room and laundry facilities. Residents can meditate in the extensive gardens or the gazebo next to the creek.
