He also served as Vice-President and General Counsel of GreenVolts, Inc., a solar energy start-up. He has represented major corporations and small businesses in a wide variety of matters, involving strategic advice, litigation in federal and state courts, administrative proceedings, and evidentiary hearings before the California Public Utilities Commission. He takes pride in efficiently solving his clients' problems with innovative legal strategies and hard work. Rick is available to help businesses that want to participate in energy and climate change rulemaking, need CPUC representation, or face litigation involving contaminated property, toxic torts or Proposition 65 claims. Rick also is interested in addressing his concerns about climate change and conservation by providing his services pro bono in appropriate cases.
