Operations Strategy Consulting

www.insource.solutions.com

Update: Operations Strategy Consulting has been acquired by InSource Solutions. Frustrated and burnt-out after spending two years in global source development, Megan Burns conceived of Operations Strategy Consulting. She saw and worked tirelessly to help establish and develop global suppliers; yet, there was almost no effort put into the existing domestic suppliers, who were dependable and had good quality components. Megan envisioned a consulting and training company that would work with small- and mid-size companies to help them unleash their unrealized potential. After working out the details and saving up enough financial resources, she launched Operations Strategy Consulting in 2006. Initially, the firm focused mainly on continuous improvement projects. OSC quickly learned it could reach and help more manufacturers by partnering with other organizations that had a similar passion for the industry. As client demand and the firm’s reputation grew, OSC added on stand-alone training courses in quality methodologies, lean, and Six Sigma. In 2010, the firm expanded beyond continuous improvement and began helping clients preparing for their ISO compliance or re-registration. In 2012, OSC expanded its offerings again by launching a strategy practice and adding the TS 16949 standard to its compliance practice. Both times the firm saw opportunities to serve manufacturers and help them become more competitive and profitable.
