The shortest route from A to B is a straight line, that is how linear thinkers view the world. Imagine holding a toothpick, a straight line. A corkscrew fits neatly around the toothpick, it ends up at the same place, but it covers so much more of the peripheral space. It is in this periphery that innovation and unique approaches are found.
