Northwest ISD Education Foundation
www.nisdtx.orgThe Northwest ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt organization composed of community leaders and businesses, working together to enhance excellence, innovation and distinction in the Northwest Independent School District! The foundation’s innovative teaching grants allow teachers to take a more creative approach to education and dream bigger. Student scholarships are awarded annually to help ensure that Northwest ISD graduates continue their path to success, even after they leave the district. As the third fastest-growing school district in the region, Northwest ISD has more than 24,000 students enrolled, and is estimated to continue growing at a pace greater than 1,400 new students per year. Northwest ISD serves families in 14 different communities, spanning 234 square miles and parts of three counties (Denton, Tarrant and Wise). The district operates three comprehensive high schools, an accelerated high school, six middle schools, 18 elementary schools, a special programs center and a youth residential program. Our foundation’s goal is to provide resources to enable students and teachers to work at their highest potential, rewarding those teachers for their innovative efforts and exemplary teaching.
