Kalinka is a leading school that promotes the Russian language and Russian culture in Luxembourg. “Kalinka” est l'un des centres principaux de préservation et de promotion de la langue russe au Luxembourg. The Kalinka School of complementary primary education was opened in 2010 at the initiative of the Russian Club of Luxembourg, a nonprofit association. Kalinka's aim is to promote the Russian language and Russian culture, maintain interest in learning Russian, enhance the status of Russian as a foreign language in Luxembourg, improve the techniques and methods of teaching the Russian language. All our activities are realized with the financial support of our main sponsor — East-West United Bank. The Kalinka School counts 200 students aged 3 to 14 years. Lessons are given exclusively in the Russian language using the methods designed specifically for Russian schools abroad. Comprising literacy, reading and writing, the program also helps students get acquainted with mathematics, music, history, regional studies, as well as the world around them in gerenal. Students have the opportunity to participate in a number of optional school clubs and activities, such as drawing, chess and dance clubs, as well as a choir. With such variety, there is something to fit nearly every interest. Our speech-language pathologist helps kids with speech or language difficulties.
