The KSC is an all-volunteer, private organization committed to promoting a sense of community, support, and purpose for military spouses. This is accomplished through the Social (501 (c) 7 non-profit) and Welfare (501 (c) 3 non-profit) components of the KSC. These two distinct components have specific missions that address different aspects of the spouses’ community. The KSC Welfare (501 (c) 3 non-profit) is dedicated to raising funds through sales at the KSC Thrift Shop to support the KSC Grants and KSC College Scholarships programs. The KSC Social (501 (c) 7 non-profit) is dedicated to promoting comradery, friendship, and fun by organizing monthly social events and other activities for spouses associated with KAFB. The KSC has defined a community of spouses and established a tradition of philanthropy dating back to the 1950’s. It is a dynamic and resilient organization which continues to redefine itself to meet the challenges facing military spouses. KSC Social Membership – Membership in the KSC is voluntary. Membership shall be activated upon receipt of an annual membership application and annual dues. Dues will be paid annually by cash or check. Only current members and their guests are eligible to participate in KSC sponsored activities. Membership socials are held monthly at the KSC Clubhouse (8150 Frost Ave - Building 20226) Membership Eligibility – Membership is open to spouses of active duty and retired military members (including guard and reserves) from all branches of the military. Spouses of active duty members of other nations, who are serving at KAFB. Spouses of current or retired DOD or DOE civilians including NAF and other DOD contractors working on KAFB, who can provide their own base access.
