Indo ao encontro dos diversos desafios do século XXI e da crescente necessidade de preservar, proteger e promover o legado mundial da produção artesanal no feminino, a principal missão da DFFWAC é contribuir para o reforço e melhoria dos clusters de artesanato feito por mulheres através da introdução de estratégias de design. Ao longo dos primeiros seis anos de actividade, a DFFWAC vai implementar um conjunto de projectos fundadores que vão permitir estabelecer os alicerces da sua intervenção junto de comunidades nacionais e internacionais de artesãs; e iniciar um processo de forte acção sobre o contexto do artesanato no feminino. [EN] The Design Foundation for Women and Crafts is a major programme in the area of design, social innovation and sustainability, promoted by experimentadesign. Addressing urgent challenges of the 21st Century and the increasing need to preserve, protect and promote a worldwide legacy of unique female-led artisanal production, DFFWAC’s main mission is to contribute towards the reinforcement and improvement of women-driven craft clusters through the introduction of design strategies. Over the first six years of activity, DFFWAC will implement a set of founding projects and programmes that will lay the foundation of its intervention alongside national and international artisan communities; and initiate a process of profound action into the context of women-driven crafts.
