The ISPE Italy Affiliate was registered and launched in 1992 in the city of Milan. The Affiliate is managed by an Executive Committee composed of the senior management of the major global and local pharmaceutical companies and their main services' providers in Italy. Our Mission is to develop an active events calendar and provide education, training and networking services in Italy among pharmaceutical professionals and students. Italy Affiliate offers the opportunity to its members to be part of local and international working group, to attend seminars on the most current topics in Life Science; in particular around Data Integrity, Operational Excellence, Pharma 4.0, GMP and GDP, Serialization and Track& Trace, Safety in manufacturing, Drug shortage prevention, Review of Regulations updates around Medicinal Products and Nutraceuticals. Italy Affiliate organizes many activities working in connection to other main Italian organizations of Life Science, either taking all the international hot topics at local level of discussion. Proposals from its members are also collected and elaborated with the main goal to increase their professionalism and enhance competitiveness of the Italian Life Science system. A dedicated program for Italian Emerging Leaders has started and has been integrated into the usual program of network events, free of charge for members, with the intention of providing food for thoughts and having fun at the same time. The Italian Affiliate is also proud to communicate the start of the first Italian Student Chapter at the University of Pavia. In alignment with the Affiliate mission, the Student Chapter will become a corner stone of the Italian pharmaceutical network, tightening up relationship between associations, industry and academy. Most recently the Italian Affiliate triggered a country specific “Women in Pharma” prize entitled to Graziella Molinari, a colleague that strongly supported the development of the ISPE Italian Affiliate.
