The Company Franco’s Ices was first founded in 1964. During the early 1970s there was a large boom in the sales of ice cream from ice cream vans. Domenico Tanzarella and his brother took advantage of this by Taking over the Franco’s Brand. As the years have passed Domenico’s children have helped bring the company into the 21st century, helping to introduce the company to broader ranges of products and to a much larger customer base, but still keeping the same quality that first gave Franco’s Ices our name in the market place. Francos pride themselves on the fact the company is still very much a family run business and all of the family including Domenico (despite his increasing years) still all get involved in the factory. All of this makes Francos one of the most successful privately owned producers of ice lollies in the UK.
