Democritus Industrial Robotics (DIR) is a group of students from the departments of Production & Management Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering of Democritus University of Thrace. The shared focus of the team members is the passion and interest in robotics. DIR was established in the spring of 2018 in order to design and program an autonomous robot with an embedded arm. The team's goal is to participate in the international competition "RoboCup" in the category "RoboCupIndustrial". DIR is the first Greek student robotics team that is attempting in this direction.
