Quickflick (Qf) is a global short-film platform spanning 15 countries since 2003's launch in Brazil. Qf sets a quarterly challenge to produce a <3min film on a common global theme, providing the inspiration, network, events, structure and deadlines for filmmakers to develop their craft. The network has inspired the creation of 2000+ films, screened them at 400+ screening parties to audiences of 40,000+ for the core purpose of advancing multi-cultural tolerance and understanding in its Makers and audiences. Schools are the next step in Qf's evolution, introducing its unique system for making, watching and understanding the community's generated content. Quickflick School will initially launch in 2013 in the UK, US, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, Mexico and Brazil and reach millions of students in 50 countries by year 4. Qf aims to collaborate with many excellent existing national film educational initiatives to add to their strengths and offer each an international reach they might not have achieved alone.
