The Thompson-Nicola Regional District is a government federation in BC with 11 municipalities and 10 Electoral Areas covering an area 44,449.42 square kilometers in size. It provides over 115 services, with core services that include a regional library system, water and sewer utilities, and solid waste management. Located in the southern interior of BC, the region is characterized by river valleys, desert terrain, rolling grasslands and towering mountains.
