Film. Great food. Live music. Beaches. Mountains. And more film. The Screenwave International Film Festival has grown from a grassroots start-up in 2014 to become an icon of the Coffs Coast. One of the fastest-growing film festivals in Regional Australia, SWIFF receives thousands of visitors through its doors each year to see a program of cutting edge world cinema, documentaries, industry events, screen art exhibitions, and premieres – and is home to the national Nextwave youth film education program and film competition. The festival is helmed by Festival Director David Horsley and Artistic Director Kate Howat, and produced by a Coffs Harbour-based team, working with private, government, and creative industry partners, along with private patrons supporting the festival.
