Mr. Goldstein is a qualified Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer. His practice is restricted to Family Law including: •divorce •separation agreements •cohabitation agreements •child custody and support •spousal support •division of property •and related areas With his extensive experience in the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, he has conducted seminars in estate planning. He has litigated in almost all areas of civil and criminal law (defence and prosecution) and appeared before all levels of the Court, including those with a jury. Mr. Goldstein was trained in general and family mediation at the University of Toronto and has taught Business Law. •Former executive member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators. •Former Duty Counsel to the family courts. •Certified Collaborative Family Lawyer and is a member of the Toronto and York Region Collaborative Family Law group of professionals Mr. Goldstein is a member of the Lawyer Referral Service of the Law Society of Upper Canada and a panel lawyer to numerous prepaid legal service plans, serving members, credit card holders and employee assistance plan holders. Mr. Goldstein has been practicing law since 1984. His experience is varied. Formerly associate counsel to the Ministry of the Attorney General (Family Responsibility Office), he enforced payment of child and spousal support.
