Cork University Hospitals Group includes one of the largest academic teaching hospitals in Ireland, serving both the local population and the wider health system regionally and nationally. CUHG operates the only level 1 trauma centre in the state and delivers highly specialist medical and surgical care such as neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, robotic surgery, stroke thrombectomy and PPCI services, and the largest range of cancer services, all co-located on an integrated campus serving both adults and children. In addition to the main site in Cork City, CUHG operates two district general hospitals, providing invaluable inpatient and outpatient care to the local population in Bantry (West Cork) and Mallow (North Cork).
