Mildlothian Sure Start is a third Sector organisation with charitable status. Is is governed by a Board of directors, comprising 50% with lived experience of the service. Midlothian Sure Start aims to give very young children (from pre-birth to 3 years) the best possible start. A range of services have been developed co-productively with the families who use our services. They are provided through six centres and on an outreach basis. These services focus on the drivers of adversity experience by our families including poverty, parenting support, inequalities, environment, housing etc. Service design focuses on building agency and progression pathways for the families attending.
