The Public Affairs Research Institute (PARI) specialises in understanding the constraints to governance and government in South Africa and elsewhere in the region. It focuses on how cultures emerge in the workplace and how they constrain the implementation of strategy. In this regard, PARI assists organisations develop strategy based on their specific contexts. It considers how the design of organisations affects what they do and how they do it. PARI supports postgraduate social science students working on government and governance through scholarships and bursaries.
