Joe Hildebrand | Emerging Leaders Coach It’s my strong belief that we can all thrive, not just survive, at work. I’m continually dismayed by the under-representation of women and those from diverse backgrounds in leadership roles. Not only is it an ethical embarrassment, it gets in the way of people and businesses having a positive impact in the world. Over the last 15+ years, I’ve worked with leaders and individuals across the globe to help them realise their cultural ambitions. I believe that big business can be a better, more playful, more diverse, purposeful place to work and recognise that this can only happen as people reimagine what the future could hold for them. Whilst we all work hard to make a difference and support ourselves and our families, how often do we take time out to explore our own ambitions, think about how we overcome the challenges in front of us, and plan for the journey ahead? I believe that people can forge their own paths, create new habits, and put them into practice if given the headspace and provoked with thoughtful questions offered by someone detached from their context. Coaching can help make this happen. Especially when it blends playful, high energy exploration with empathetic, calm conversations in service of their personal north star. I aim to make coaching feel like a fluid conversation and a partnership, not a mechanical, methodology-led process. I come with a growth mindset myself, paying careful attention to how I can evolve and improve my own style for the benefit of my clients. Put simply, I believe my biggest responsibility is to care. To create a safe space, listen, evoke awareness, provoke and enable you to take action.
