Hammarby IF Bouleförening was formed on November 4, 2001 and is part of Hammarby IF Alliansförening since April 22, 2002. Hammarby IF Alliansförening is the parent association for 18 other sports. Everyone is called Hammarby IF with the addition of the name of their sport: Football Association, Bandy Association etc. There is plenty of boule petanque experience in Hammarby boule club. A couple of us have represented Sweden in the Boule Petanque World championships and several of us usually participate in the Swedish Championships in boule petanque. At the Swedish Championships in 2019, Viktor Johansson & Saga Wahlberg won Hammarby Boules' first Swedish Championship medal for seniors (Swedish Championship Bronze in Mixed Doubles). We have high hopes that it will not be long before success continues. Hammarby Boules' operations are linked to Södermalm, Stockholm. We practise at Södra Latins school yard, at Björns Trädgård, or at Mariatorget during the summer and in Liljeholmshallen in the winter. Members of Hammarby Boule are young and old, experienced and beginners, but all have a heart beating for Hammarby and Södermalm. Boule petanque is especially well suited for Södermalm. An easy way to socialize in parks and squares, a way to be seen without disturbing, a way to live in and with your city.
