RC E-Club of Belgium 1 grew out of the friendship between several Rotarians who were members of RC Zottegem. RC Zottegem later also became the mentor club to today's e-club. Quite a few members were having difficulty getting to the weekly meetings due to too many professional commitments or because they had moved abroad. Our club currently has about twelve like-minded friends who want to commit to the social aims that Rotary supports. By posting weekly discussions on our forum and/or taking part in the interactive committee meetings, we try to do our bit for the aims that Rotary sets itself and, furthermore, in doing so we try to strengthen the bonds of friendship between us all. In August 2019 RC E-Club of Belgium 1 became the first Rotary Passport club in the Benelux. A passport club is a Rotary club that encourages members to attend meetings of other Rotary clubs as long as they attend a specified number of meetings in their own club each year. Members are also encouraged to participate in service projects organized by other clubs. RC E-Club of Belgium 1 Passport has different classifications, which means our membership is very diverse.
