Durham University Business Society is a student organisation which provides both academic and social events for all members of the University with a business focus. The Society aims to - Increase members' commercial awareness and employability by giving members the opportunity to interact with a wide range of different businesses and entrepreneurs - Allow members to apply the skills and knowledge they have learnt through their studies to the real world. - Provide a wide range of social activities for its members, giving members the opportunity to meet new people from different Colleges and Degree Programmes. Events and Activities The Society organises a balanced programme of events each term, with a mixture of academic and social activities. For academic events, the Society aims to secure a wide-range of different speakers, ranging from local entrepreneurs to senior staff in multi-national companies. The Society ultimately looks to its members for guidance on what events they would like to attend.
