The Patient and Citizen Involvement in HTA Interest Group (PCIG) is one of Health Technology Internationals (HTAi) ten Interest Groups. Our vision: Patient and Citizen perspectives improve HTA Out top-line aims are to: 1) Promote and develop robust methodologies to incorporate patients’ and citizens’ perspectives into HTAs and share best practice in patient and citizen participation in the HTA process. 2) Strengthen HTA by systematic incorporation of patient and citizen perspectives. 3) Support countries with limited experience of HTA to elicit and incorporate patients’ and citizens’ perspectives. Supported by a broad membership that includes patients, advocates, researchers, HTA representatives, industry representatives and subject matter experts, PCIG has developed a wide-range of evidence-based resources and tools for both HTA bodies and patient and citizen advocates. Members of the Group have also authored the first academic book on patient involvement in HTA. We welcome new members who committed to furthering the involvement of patients and citizens in HTA.
